Boost Your Luck With an HVAC Tune-Up

boost your luck

Once a year, on March 17th, we celebrate St Patrick and the luck of the Irish. It’s also (thankfully) the time of year that the temperature starts climbing and we can look forward to saying goodbye to yet another winter. Soon it’ll be time to shut off the heating.

A tune up at this point doesn’t make sense. Or does it? Here are six reasons to stop pushing your luck and get your furnace tuned up if you haven’t already.

Improve air quality

No matter the time of year or the temperature outside, air blows through your furnace. This air can either be clean, filtered air or air that picks up dust from a dirty fan. Have your fan cleaned and your filter changed to improve the quality of air you inhale.

Stay warm during cold spring nights

Despite the countdown to summer, outside temperatures in spring are still low. Neglecting to tune your heating system can leave you shivering on a cold night as your furnace struggles to keep your home warm.

Save on energy

If you’ve had a higher than normal heating bill for some time, the rising cost of energy is only partly to blame. A poorly tuned furnace or boiler will consume more gas to heat your home. Take immediate action to get your efficiency up and stop the unnecessary flow of cash out of your pockets.

Postpone that next big repair

Keeping your heating equipment tuned up lengthens its life and the money you spend now will keep the expensive repairs at bay. Procrastinating on the smaller cost of a tune up will cost you big sooner rather than later.

Reduce the risk of failure

Even if your heater has made it through the worst part of winter, you still have to keep it going. A failure on a mildly cold day will still cause you grief, especially if it could have been prevented.

Protect your plumbing

It doesn’t take much to freeze pipes in your home. The temperature just has to drop below freezing for long enough, which is a real possibility during spring in some regions. Regardless of where you live, the risk of frozen pipes bursting is not worth postponing a furnace tune up any further.

Tyler and Carter were efficient, helpful, and courteous. They walked us through our new system and explained everything so we could use and maintain the system after they left. Great experience!

Brady and LT (and the entire Western Heating & Air Team) have been amazing through a less than ideal scenario. Our outdoor unit with our ductless system was having issues and completely went down on two occasions. Once they figured out the issue, they got a warranty claim in process and quickly got the new unit installed (Brady and LT are true professionals and pros at what they do). Our family feels in good hands with Western Heating and Air, and appreciate all the compassion and hard work to help us through this less than ideal scenario with the problems we had with the outdoor unit. THANK YOU!
