Why you should schedule your furnace repair TODAY

There’s nothing quite like walking into your warm and comfortable home at the end of a cold winter day, at least that is if you haven’t forgotten to schedule that essential furnace repair! Forgetting to call on your furnace repair can do more than just make your home too cold, it can sometimes cause big problems for your family. We get it, sometimes you save by using generators, space heaters, and candles for warmth instead. These are good temporary solutions but sometimes they don’t always help your family as much as you think.

The cost of delaying your furnace repair can often be more than just financial. Here are just a few reasons why you should schedule your furnace repair TODAY!

Schedule Your Furnace Repair

Fire Hazards

When your furnace goes out you’ll probably compensate by using a space heater or generator to keep your family warm. These are good for a time, but if you get in the habit of leaving these unattended it can cause problems! The NFPA has reported that 86% of deadly residential fires were caused by portable space heaters. Scary! Don’t rely on these short term fixes, repair your furnace instead!

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Carbon monoxide is a scentless gas that can cause severe illness or death when overexposed. It can come from a broken furnace, or even from gas and oil burning portable heaters. Improperly vented heating sources can release this harmful gas into your home! When a technician maintains and repairs your furnace they will check for carbon monoxide leaks, keeping your family’s safety top of mind!

Illness

Living in a cold home is never comfortable, but it is harmful to your health as well! Living in a cold home leaves your family susceptible to colds, pneumonia, and even high blood pressure. While living in the cold may save a little money, it will never be worth the health risks!

Frozen Pipes

When your pipes get too cold they could be in danger of freezing. This not only means that your water won’t come when you want it, but you risk burst pipes! When water freezes in the pipes it can expand to the point of cracking. When spring comes and these pipes thaw out you’ll find leakage and water damage around your home. A properly working furnace is essential for the function of many systems in your home!

Tyler and Carter were efficient, helpful, and courteous. They walked us through our new system and explained everything so we could use and maintain the system after they left. Great experience!

Brady and LT (and the entire Western Heating & Air Team) have been amazing through a less than ideal scenario. Our outdoor unit with our ductless system was having issues and completely went down on two occasions. Once they figured out the issue, they got a warranty claim in process and quickly got the new unit installed (Brady and LT are true professionals and pros at what they do). Our family feels in good hands with Western Heating and Air, and appreciate all the compassion and hard work to help us through this less than ideal scenario with the problems we had with the outdoor unit. THANK YOU!
