Do your research: Make a list of possible prospects and examine each company's reputation with the Better Business Bureau.
Seek out recommendations: You may ask friends or family members who have had a great experience with a reputable HVAC firm in your region for recommendations.
Check out the reviews on the internet: HVAC contractors in your region may be found on reliable review websites such as Google Reviews and Yelp. These review websites don't censor reviews and make it very tough to fake them. As a result, they're a trustworthy source of information for your HVAC contractor search.
Examine the industry's norms: In every way, dependable contractors are professionals. They should have technicians and employees that are timely and pleasant. Also, don't be afraid to stop by the company's shop or office and speak with them in person.
The typical cost of HVAC repair service is $150 to $450, with most homes paying $319 on air conditioning and $268 on furnace service. Many HVAC contractors charge $75 to $150 per hour, with a $75 to $200 minimum service call cost that is applied to the first hour, while many others prefer setting a fixed price per service. The best way to get an accurate repair estimate is by calling your HVAC company directly.
If it won’t turn on: Check your air conditioner’s outdoor unit to see whether the condenser is running. Check to see that the device is connected and that your thermostat is adjusted correctly.
If it won’t cool: If your air conditioner turns on and your thermostat is adjusted correctly, but your system still doesn't cool, it might be due to a filthy or blocked air condenser. The first step is to inspect the exterior unit and clear up any trash or weeds that are obstructing air flow.
If it cools, but not enough: If your air conditioner is turned on and set properly but your home still isn't cold enough, you may have a unit that isn't the right size for your home.
If these simple troubleshooting tips don’t work, have a professional come out to inspect your system and provide a repair service.

Above and Beyond Service, Quick and Friendly
Evon - Eagle Mountain, UT 84043
Our technician Kade Cook was extremely knowledgeable and resolved an issue in 5 minutes that the technician that came last year wasn’t able to resolve or find the source of, even after taking everything apart. He also went above and beyond to help fix it, which was a little outside of his duties. He helped educate us and was very friendly and quick. I will always request Kade if I encounter a problem, he is the best at thinking outside the box to troubleshoot and resolve out-of-the ordinary problems.

Great timely service

Our AC unit went out and we were able to get an amazing upgraded hybrid unit for the price I was quoted for a base model that would not be able to keep up with the demands of heating an upstairs location including a bonus room over the garage

Awesome service
Steve - Eagle Mountain, UT 84005
Parker presented himself well from the start. Reviewed the plan I had bought and then showed me what he would be doing. The price for furnace and Ac cleaning and maintenance beats anyone else I looked at. During his cleaning he did find a restricted area. Followed company protocol and found the that the repair fixed the issue. No charge either as he had pull more hardware out to apply the fix. Cleaned up after reviewing with me what he did and left. Good visit and they stand behind their work.

Quick response and great service
Justin - Eagle Mountain, UT 84005
Jessica on the phone was nice, called ahead and found a quicker time for the technician to come as my furnace was out on a very cold weekend. Adam the technician showed up and knew exactly what was wrong. Found a replacement motor in the van, installed that and cleaned up the burners and installed spare igniter I had free of charge. Motor was $550. Did not look for things to charge me for and was great to work with throughout. A+ experience.

this is the second time we had the pleasure of having John B come to do repair work for us.1st time was this past summer when he came out and found that our AC was broken and he had it replaced and fixed in no time at all and at a great price. Now we had a problem with our furnace and again John B came and at 10 pm he put a temporary fix for the night and was back at our house by 11 am the next day.We found that the part was under warranty so he just charged us for his time witch was very reasonable and he did a great job again and our furnace is working better now than before. So than you John B and if we need any work done on anything this company does we will not hesitate to give them a call..

Eric - Eagle Mountain, UT 84005
Serviceman that came out was real nice, figured out my thermostat was bad. Then charged me $270 to install a $50 thermostat. Took about 15 minutes to install it, are you kidding me. Extremely expensive repair service, will not use again.

The issue was the vivint thermostat was acting up and was not turning on the A/C. it was nothing that we did to cause the issue. NOT A WARRANTY CALL. We did replace the vivint thermostat with a basic programmable thermostat that we left him when we did the initial install. Both A/C and heat are currently working on departure.

AC tuneup on a 2000 air conditioning system. System is actually in good condition for its age. It is showing problems with the common were components of the air conditioner. When I took the access panel off the outdoor condenser, I did find that it was full of dirt and debris. There was a burnt high voltage line coming into the contactor as you can see in the picture. The contactor is in bad shape as well. Recommended an AC tuneup kit which comes with a capacitor a contactor and a hard start kit. Customer approved repairs. I also noticed the thermostat wire going to the outdoor unit is starting to lose its coding and may cause issues in the future. Have included an estimate to run new thermostat wire. All of the components are measuring properly at this time temperature split is perfect at 21 degrees.Client is up for renewal on WSC.

Came to residence for prepaid WSC tune-up on a '17 ac system. Equipment functional upon arrival. Upon inspection of the indoor systems, I found the blower wheel and evaporative coil were dirty, like last time, but the homeowners elected to do the cleanings. I performed the cleanings and the static pressure is now where is should be and the internal components are operating much more smoothly. All other components and measurements are within manufacturer specifications. Moving outside to the condenser, I found the electrical and mechanical components are operating properly. The electrical measurements I took are within specifications and the system is functioning well. See health report card for any specific information. Equipment functional upon departure. Thanks for your business and have a great day!

I preformed 2 AC tune ups today. The basement unit is from 2003 and in rough condition. The furnace is very rusted on the inside, this brings concern for potential cracks in heat exchangers and weak spots. I recommended replacing the whole system. The customer said they are waiting to do it through home warranty. The attic unit is in good shape the blower wheel is dirty and potentially the coil. ( coil was inaccessible). The static was high but still in average range. The cap in the condenser was bad, i replaced it and added a hard start to prevent further damage. Both ACs where running when i left.

Came to residence for prepaid WSC tune-up on a '13 ac system. Equipment functional upon arrival. Upon inspection of the indoor systems, I found all electrical and mechanical components are operating properly. The temperature split across the evaporative coil is good, indicating there is a proper charge of refrigerant in the system. The static pressure is great and the internals are clean. Moving outside, I found all parts on the condenser are functioning correctly and all my electrical measurements are well within manufacturer specifications. See health report card for any specific information. I mentioned we now offer annual water heater maintenance as part of the Western Savings Club and also that they are up for renewal for their program membership for their furnace and ac. The homeowner said he will talk it over with his wife and they will likely contact us soon. Equipment functional upon departure. Thanks for your business and have a great day!

Pump refrigerant back into the condenser and moved system to the north side of the house brand new line set and rerouted the power for the system. We pressure tested the system and also vacuumed it down to 500 µm both tests were good. Took a temp split and it was a little high but that’s because it’s cold outside. System was working before leaving.

Tyler B.
I preformed an AC tune up today. Customer said that 2 rooms in the house don’t get cooled or heated properly. I looked into this and believe. It’s due to the furnace being on the opposite side of the house and the bedrooms being at the end of the trunk line. The condenser’s capacitor is reading 17% out of its range and is in need of replacing. The compressor is also over amping at start up. I recommend an AC tune up kit to replace the cap and contactor and add a hard start. Customer said they would talk it over with their husband and let us know. AC was running when i left.

Came out for thermostat not working. Also while is was here performed a non msc ac tune up. Found the evaporator coil needed to be cleaned and the blower also needed to be cleaned. Today I cleaned the coil and replaced the thermostat. Found the LRA is high on compressor and the blower motor is showing signs of age. Furnace is a 2011 Goodman. Capacitor is testing right on the edge of bad. It is still working today. Found the static pressure is high in the blower due to 1†filter. All other electrical components are testing properly and working properly. See health report card. I installed a luxpro instead of the Aprilaire thermostat per Raymond. Warehouse team had to bring me this thermostat. Everything was working properly when I left the call.

Came to residence for prepaid MSC tune-up on a ac system. Equipment functional upon arrival. Upon inspection of the outdoor condenser, I found the capacitor was measuring low. This affects the compressor motor that circulates refrigerant that cools the air. Along with a new capacitor, I recommend adding a hard start kit that will help the unit draw less power on startup as well as while it's running. I also found the fan motor is amping very high, causing much higher power usage and drastically raising utility bills, and showing signs that it will soon fail. On further inspection inside, I found the blower wheel is very dirty and so was the filter. I replaced the dirty 20x25x1 filter with a homeowner provided clean filter. I checked the static pressure in the ductwork and found it was very high, likely due to the dirty blower motor. I recommend it be cleaned to reduce the pressure on the motor and the whole furnace and ac system to enhance the longevity of the unit. I also recommend

AC tuneup. System is looking in good condition filter was dirty. I replaced it with one supplied by the homeowner. System is looking slightly overcharged on refrigerant, we have added refrigerant in the past due to a suspected refrigerant leak. I tested the system with a refrigerant sniffer and was unable to find a leak at this time. Temperature split was perfect today. In the heat of the summer if there is issues, we will look into other possible causes. Possible TXB issue. All of their electrical components are operating properly at this time.

Kade C.
Prepaid MSC tuneups both AC and furnace. Customer is complaining of poor airflow in the home. Tested static pressure in the blower compartment and found well over 1 inch of water column. Inspected the return duct found insulation had fallen from the walls of the return duct and was completely blocking airflow. I reattached the insulation using screws instead of the double-sided tape that was used. Improve static pressure dramatically and increased airflow. All electrical components are operating as they should at this time. Would recommend monument club for water heater as well as furnace and air conditioner to keep units operating properly and to continually ensure good airflow.

Ryan H.
Customer casks that the other day her furnace was running for a longtime and really heating up the house. Another time it would only blow cool air. Found that the thermostat had gone bad. 1) would not properly read temps 2) unable to change settings or programming Installed new aprilaire thermostat

Spencer D.
Complete AC tuneup. Informed customer of all the deep cleaning that he may need to keep his system up to par. Customer just purchased a home warranty so he’s going to reach out to them if anything happens to the system. Jc is also trying to sell his home and relocate within the next year

Taylor G.
Came out for ac tune up. Found the static pressure is high in the blower due to duct design. Needs a box and bigger filter. Going to email Steve the options to fix. Found there is no hard start kit on ac. All other electrical components are testing properly and working properly. See health report card. Ac was working properly when I left the call.

Wayne R.
Installed new 90% furnace, evaporator coil, and AC/heat pump condenser. We set the condenser on a metal grate that is hanging off the side of their house, and made sure that it was level with isolation pads. Isolation pads also help with noise cancellation. Replaced the 30 amp breaker with a 20 amp breaker and also installed a new disconnect box with fuses to protect the condenser. We flush the system with pro flush, pressure tested the system to 400 psi, and then vacuum down the system down to 500 µm. All tests held true and there are no leaks in the system. It was too cold to charge today, but we did a weigh-in charge and added about 2 pounds and 3 ounces of refrigerant to To compensate about 55 feet of extra line set. On the inside we had to work backwards a little bit and create a plenum first and then hang the coil on that plenum. We then had to use a Bryant 16 x 25 x 4 filter rack instead of an April air 1410 filter rack so that way we could fit the furnace in between the coil

Ryan H.
Customer having reoccurring problems with the furnace. On the surface most everything looks to be in working condition. Upon dealer inspection I found that the secondary heat exchanger has failed. This is causing a leak inside the furnace and also as the rust stuffs off and breaks free it is plugging up the other components. Possible solutions: 1) Replace the secondary heat exchanger. This option is fairly expansive and still leaves many more parts that could potentially fail in the future. 2) Replace the furnace. This is usually the most economic option. Recommend the customer continues to only use the pellet stove for heat until this issue is resolved.

Jeff M.
AC tune up refer to health inspection report form. Overall system fairly healthy just some things that can be done as a preventative measures and improving home comfort levels. Recommendations refer to estimates.
