Great service, great information
Ryan - Orem, UT
This was just a regular service check which went well. I really liked all the extra information of things that could improve my system without trying to hard-sell me anything in particular. Saying "you don't need to do this, but it would prolong the life of the system" makes it feel like mutual respect between both parties.
Response from Western Heating & Air Conditioning:
Hi Ryan, we appreciate your honest feedback and it is truly our goal here to follow our Red Handkerchief promise. Thank you for the 5 star review for Wes.

Wesley was knowledgeable and communicated his findings very well to us. However, I felt that a mere service call to confirm what we had been told by another company should have cost less.

Came out for no heat on a 2015 furnace. Found the flame sensor was not testing in specs. I cleaned sensor now it reading at a 2.5. Gave option to replace and msc to prevent Thai from happening again. Both options were declined at this time. All other parts were working properly. System was working properly when I left the call.

Came out for a prepaid msc ac tune up. Found the filter was clean and being changed regularly. Found the LRA on the compressor is high due to not having a hard start kit. This will prolong life of compressor. Found all electrical components are testing properly and working properly. Found temp split was at 26 difference due to home not having a heat load. See health report card. System was working properly when I left the call. I installed a 3.5 hard start kit today.

Put vibration pads under front corners of unit. System is level and up and running when I left

I preformed an AC tune up today, the whole system is 21 years old, the blower is dirty and is getting unfiltered air, the static is bad due to a small coil making a choke point, the contactor has bad burning and pitting on it, the cap is reading 9% out of range, and the fan is leaking oil. The customer wants to keep the system going for another year or to before replacing, i recommended replacing the cap and possibly cleaning the blower to help that happen. AC was running when i left.

System is running well. Return drop isn’t big enough. Blower motor is amping high do to the return static pressure. Talked about the upgraded filter. Surge protectors and doing the filter package. System is running within specs and is up and running when i left.

Came out for a prepaid msc ac tune up. Ac is a a 2007 Bryant. Found the filter was dirty needs to be replaced. Replaced today with tune up. Found the blower motor was caked with debris. Found it to also be leaking oil. Found the 45 for the 3/4 drain line for coil is crack recommended fixing to prevent water from getting into furnace. Option declined today. Found no other issues with system. All electrical components are testing properly and working properly toady, see health report card. System was working properly when I left the call.

Came out for no cool. Found capacitor was dead. It was put in 2019 so I replaced that. Also found the outdoor condenser coil was covered with debris I cleaned that today. Signed home up on msc club we will return to do a full tune up on system. System was working properly when I left the call.

I performed an AC tuneup on 3 systems. They are all working properly with no concerns at this time. I found the humidifiers water turned off but I turned them back on, tested them and they are working fine. See health report card for more details.

Prepaid AC tuneup. System is starting to show its age. Blower compartment is clean however I noticed oil coming from the motor of the blower. Blower also makes an abnormal noise. Likely that the bearings are failing internally. All other components are operating properly at this time. I was surprised to find that there is no indoor air quality products installed on this unit. Would recommend an air scrubber and a humidifier. Also there is no hard start kit installed on the condenser. I have included estimates for these.

Charge ac Make sure all components are communicating properly.

The 1985 ac unit was leaking water. The water heater hot water coil in the furnace is now leaking. The relay is broken. The reversing valve and two ball valves by water heater need to be replaced. We are going to need to cut open the drywall and redo everything from the heating coil back to the water heater. We also need to replace her relay. I called mountailand supply and talked to randy in the hydroponics department. He is going to get a price for a new coil. He is also going to get price for a new ac furnace unit. As soon as he gives me pricing I will call nathalie and give her to price to fix and the price to replace. I am working with mark on a replacement price. The ac is working the furnace is not.

Maintenance plan AC tuneup. Performed full AC tuneup. AC is operating properly. Everything is working according to manufacturers recommendations. See health report card for more info. Customer has an old water heater they would like to make it last as long as possible. A water heater tuneup may help protect the water heater. Included prices.

I preformed an AC tune up today. The system is from 1992 and is in pretty rough shape. The cap is bad, fan is leaking oil, and compressor is over amping. I suggested replacement but the customer wants to let it die before getting a new one. The furnace has a high static in the return. Possibly furniture in the way, but no visible problems. Customer did not want air flow assessment. AC was running when i left.

Kevin K.
Ac start up added a few ounces of 410a

Came to residence for prepaid WSC tune-up on a '07 Bryant ac system. Equipment functional upon arrival. Upon inspection of the outdoor condenser, I found all components are operating properly. All electrical measurements are well within manufacturer specifications and the unit is functioning correctly and smoothly. Moving inside, I found the 16x25x4 filter was dirty and replaced it with homeowner approval. The temperature split across the evaporative coil is good, indicating a proper charge of refrigerant. The electrical and mechanical systems are working well. See health report card for any specific information. I mentioned that the furnace doesn't have a gas drip leg meaning it's out of code. I told her it was about $190 for us to put one in and ensure proper installation and function. I noticed the water heater does have one. I also mentioned we now offer annual water heater maintenance as part of the Western Savings Club for $120 annually. We come flush the water heater to the a

Fatima invited us out today for an AC tune up! The system was installed by us two years ago and is in great shape! There was only one part that was starting to show some wear and that was the capacitor. I recommended a hard start to help out with the load. Thank you for having us out today!
