Ron invited us out today for 2 furnace tune ups. Both units were installed in 2004 and are starting to show their age. The basement unit is starting to show signs of wear on both the heat exchangers and the blower motor. Overall things were functioning on this unit and my best recommendation would be to keep a very close eye on the blower motor if not replace it. The Upstairs furnace is showing more wear. Most importantly at the heat exchangers. While inspecting them with my camera I found that the second plate going left to right is starting to form cracks at the bottom of the heat exchanger. I could not 100% confirm that what I saw was open. However, while doing a combustion analysis on the unit I found that the oxygen levels in the flue were fluctuating which is a sign there may be an opening on one of the heat exchangers. I am having Clint reach out to go over previous recommendations.

Today we came out for one furnace tuneup. Furnace was put in by us less than a year ago. Overall everything is working the way that it should be. Today we recommended warranty protection where the system is so new. That includes a wet switch to protect from any water damage and a surge protector to prevent any unnecessary power surges. Today we just replace the humidifier pad and renewed the Western savings club membership and replace the filter on the unit. Thank you for having us out today! Please give us a call if you have any questions

Performed a furnace tune up today, blower wheel and evaporator coil a little dirty but if they keep up with changing the air filter it shouldn’t be a problem. Recommend adding a gas drip leg and a wet switch Furnace was running when we left

Customer is selling home wanted to get ac stable for new owners . Furnace and outdoor unit was showing a little bit of age but at the time all ops are normal with the work completed today . Performed ac tune up. Blower motor is making a grinding noise. Internal bearing on the motor are starting to go bad. Blower motor is amping well. System has high static pressure unless you open all the zones. Temp split is good. System does not have surge protectors. Warranties do not cover surges. Recommend them on furnace and ac. Rest of the system is looking good. Recommend 1” filters to be replaced once a month. Water heater doesn’t have an expansion tank on it. System is up and running when i left.

I performed an Ac tune up on a 1995 Lennox system. The system is really old and it shows. The main concerns right now are: . The blower motor is dirty and have signs of overheating and oil leaks. This means it is in its last days. . The condenser coil was really dirty, after cleaning I found that the refrigerant pressure was really low. The system was running at the beginning of my tuneup. Because the coil was really dirty it had a hard time transferring heat, that caused the refrigerant to maintain a functional pressure. After cleaning the coil the refrigerant pressure were very low, tripping the safety features of the compressor. I charged 2lb 11oz of R-22 and now the system is working properly with a 20 degrees temperature split. Because this happened during my tune up we will have another technician to come over and give a second opinion about what happened. See health report card for more details.

Ryan invited us out today because his condensing unit had stopped working. While going through diagnostics I found that the capacitor had fallen outside of manufactured limitations. This caused the fan to stop spinning. Today I replaced the capacitor and everything seemed to be working great after that! Thank you for calling us out today! Please call us with any questions you have!

Eric invited us out today for an AC tune up. The system was installed about 5 years ago and is in very good shape overall. Everything but one part tested within spec. The part that has begun falling out of factory spec is the capacitor. Aside from that, I washed down the outside unit today as a part of the tune up. Everything was on and working when I left. I Didn’t hear back from Eric before I left his home. Thank you for having us out today!

Call no cool. Found the unit not coming on appropriately compressor nor fan would cycle on. Checked capacitor and found the compressor side reading 6.5/45 and fan side reading 0/5 capacitor has failed and will need to be replaced for appropriate operation. Checked set screws on disconnect to make sure they weren’t backing out and was able to tighten one a bit don’t suspect this to be main culprit behind capacitor failure. Without at least getting a capacitor in won’t be able to verify any other potential causes behind capacitor failure. Suspect LRA amps may be starting to creep up just given age of unit hard start may be needed to help alleviate amp draw on initial start up. AC tune kit installed. Amp draws and refrigerant charge are good with unit system is up and cooling on departure. Airflow is good. Kickstart helped bring down LRA amp draw system performing well on departure. Condenser coil cleaned before leaving.

I responded to a no cool call today. I checked the temp split, the 24 volts going to AC, airflow, refrigerant, and power. I found that the breaker outside had just been tripped. With out being at the house when it tripped its hard to say what caused it. I recommend a surge protector to help prevent any damage from future power surges. AC was running when i left.

Customer said the AC was making a whining noise yesterday. Performed full detail 30 point AC tuneup and inspection. Overall the mechanical, safety and electrical components all check out good. The equipment was rather dirty. Ultimately found that the AC was overheating which caused the compressor to lock up and creat the noise. There are multiple factors contributing to the overheating. 1) The AC is located on the west side of the house with no shade. This means the unit is in the direct sun for several hours during the hottest parts of the day. As the equipment ages this extra heat will take a toll on the AC. 2) The AC was plugged with dirt. The fine spaces between the fins on the AC can easily become plugged with dirt, weeds or other debris. This has ha major effect on the units ability to operate properly. 3) The filter was dirty. This again will cause airflow issues. Recommendations: 1) change the filter right away 2) perform regular maintenance on the equipment. The man

Upon arrival spoke with home owner about ac short cycling . So I began troubleshooting and found that the condensing unit contactor was no longer passing voltage threw system correctly . Also notice that dual cap was failing , so customer agreed to do ac tune kit get ac system up and running properly. Installed 30 amp single pole contactor at this time all ops are normal need to come back to finish ac tune kit did not have other parts on hand . Customer also would like to speak with comfort advisor about purchasing a new system . Customer contacted Angie snow to set up this meeting .

Call no cool. Found the compressor kicking on but not outdoor fan, no cooling of refrigerant taking place. Checked capacitor and it was dead on fan side and dropped by 12% on compressor side. Replaced capacitor, contactor, and added hard start to help capacitor on start up. System came on and began to cool. Refrigerant charge checked and equipment is showing that it is low could be anywhere between 2-4 lbs possible 4 being high side but won’t know until we begin adding refrigerant. Given history of adding refrigerant there is a leak somewhere in the system it very well could be in the evaporator coil but that would be based upon statistical probabilities and not necessarily guarantees would recommend looking at finding and guaranteeing location of leak by adding UV dye into the system and charging system up appropriately and returning in a month or two to look for the signs of the leak then making the appropriate repairs once found. Given age and cost of repairs may want to look in

Call for possible freezing taking place. Found unit running and cooling on arrival. Checked refrigerant it is kind of going back and forth in pressures going from what looks like it is overcharged to somewhat decent pressure readings to possible restriction as far as the unit runs there may be a metering device issue or maybe compressor acting up. Checked capacitor for unit and it’s within specifications, checked motor windings for compressor checked fine. Put all back together to checked LRA draw from compressor and amperage came through to compressor but it didn’t start up appropriately. Shut unit off waited several minutes turned it on again and still nothing did this 2 more times and compressor finally kicked on. It’s looking like we may have mechanical issues with the compressor itself starting from a dead stop. But once it gets moving it cools. If we wanted to try to help the compressor out we can add AC renew to help breakdown oil that’s collected on the sides of the co
